Mrs. Pfeifer's Science

Privacy policy

Effective date: October 8, 2026

Short version: Mrs. Pfeifer's Science does not collect, sell, or share personal information. There are no accounts, ads, analytics, or trackers. Study progress is saved only on the device being used.

Who we are

Mrs. Pfeifer's Science is a free science study tool for middle-school students. This policy covers the website at mrspfeifer.com and any Android or iOS versions of the app, if and when they are released.

What we collect

Nothing. There is no sign-up or login, and the site and app contain no advertising, analytics, crash-reporting, or tracking code. We do not ask for or receive a student's name, email address, location, photos, contacts, device identifiers, or information about how the app is used.

Because we collect no personal information, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

What stays on the device

To remember study progress, the app may save things like quiz results, flashcards marked as known, and settings in the browser's or app's local storage on the device. This information never leaves the device and we cannot see it. Clearing the browser's site data, or uninstalling the app, deletes it.

Hosting

The website is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes basic technical information (such as IP addresses) to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. We do not use Cloudflare Web Analytics or any other analytics on this site.

Links to other websites

Each unit has a "Science in the news" page with hand-picked links to articles on other websites, such as NASA, NOAA, and Science News Explores. These are plain links. We don't embed those sites, and we add no social-media buttons, ads, or tracking. Links open in a new tab and are set so the other site isn't told which page you came from. Once you're on another website, its own privacy policy applies.

Content credit

Some study activities are inspired by OpenSciEd instructional materials, which are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0). Our study materials are adapted and original; they are not affiliated with or endorsed by OpenSciEd.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above.
